Disabled ParkingProperty owners in need of handicap parking space at their residence should write a letter to the Engineering Department; Attention: Traffic Manager. The letter should include the address of the property, the nature of the disability, a copy of their handicap placard or handicap registration and any other pertinent information that could assist in the reviewing of the your request.
Your request will then be forwarded to the Police Department, and an interview will be scheduled with the property owner. Upon completion of the interview, a recommendation will be prepared and presented to the Board of Public Works and Safety. This process usually takes 3-4 weeks for approval and an additional 2-3 weeks to place the sign and paint the curb blue. For additional information, please contact Gary West:
