February Events from Mishawaka Parks

Couples Ice Skating -- Please join us at Merrifield Complex and Ice Rink on Saturday, February 14th from 4:30-9:00 PM for a very special time of Couples Ice Skating.

Cost is $10 per couple and includes two admissions, two skate rentals, hot chocolate for two and a box of popcorn to share! Couple’s may consist of any two persons: two friends, two sweethearts, a mother and son, a father and daughter, two siblings, you get the picture…just grab someone and come have some fun! Remember to dress warmly as Merrifield Ice Rink is an outdoor rink.

Wilson Hill Open For The Season

The tubing hill at Wilson Park has opened for the 2014-15 season. Normal hours are 10am - 8pm weather permitting. Please remember that the Hill allows inflatable tubes hard plastic sleds, snowboards or toboggans. Contact the Wilson Hill staff at (574) 258-1707 or the Mishawaka Parks Offices at (574) 258-1664 with any questions.

Irish Hockey "Practice on the Pond" - January 6th

Notre Dame has cancelled this event due to the cold temperatures. At this time, there is no rescheduled date.

Winterfest 2014 at Merrifield Park - Dec 6

Join the Mishawaka Parks Department for their annual Winter Festival on Saturday, December 6th from 5:00-8:00pm at Merrifield Park and Ice Rink.

Winterfest features an evening of fun-filled, family friendly, free winter activities, including ice skating and horse drawn sleigh rides/wagon rides (weather permitting), visits with Santa, ice sculpting demonstration, a live nativity scene along with a petting zoo, bonfire and complimentary refreshments (hot cocoa, cookies and popcorn). New this year is the addition of an outdoor movie as Dr. Suess’s "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" will be shown.

As in prior years, there will be a collection point for the donation of nonperishable and canned food items for the Mishawaka Food Pantry.
